Black Flag Day – CORPS FITNESS
Summer is in full swing and the heat is coming! We are forecast for 90’s for the weekend. Please take the appropriate precautions when coming in to workout. Hydrate before your workout begins and bring a full water bottle. Then use it! And if you start to feel dizzy or light headed, be SMART! Stop what you’re doing and take a knee, head to the sidelines, grab some water. It doesn’t pay to be tough and end up with heat stroke! Pay attention to what your body is telling you!

The hallmark symptom of heat stroke is a core body temperature above 104 degrees Fahrenheit. But fainting may be the first sign.
Other symptoms may include:
Dizziness and light-headedness
Lack of sweating despite the heat
Red, hot, and dry skin
Muscle weakness or cramps
Nausea and vomiting
Rapid heartbeat, which may be either strong or weak
Rapid, shallow breathing
Behavioral changes such as confusion, disorientation, or staggering
