Wednesday Form: Squat…Jump.
Basic form elements…some CFers posin’ for the camera!
Squat: Deep, balanced, tall…maintaining the curve in the lower back (locking down) even at that depth. Practice at home, hold onto a doorway sit back deep, tall spine…use the assist for balance…soon you’ll squat deep and proper w/o the assist!
Jump: must include aggressive hip flexion, that is, ripping knees toward chest and reaching with the feet. Notice in pic, the only way those feet are getting onto box is by bringing knees toward chest. Springy. Work on the hip mobility drills, get more out of high knee, steam engine warm-up…Snap.
