Tuesday Attitude: Thought it would be different
“To fail is a natural consequence of trying. To succeed takes time and prolonged effort in the face of unfriendly odds. To think it will be any other way, no matter what you do, is to invite yourself to be hurt and to limit your enthusiasm for trying.” -D. Viscott
I believe sometimes it is better not to think and just do…therein lies the infamous Theory of Free Will…maybe it just gets us in trouble…maybe when it comes to fitness in comes down to focus, ignore, and move, in broader terms, focus on what is in front of your eyes, not behind them, ignore the noise behind them also and the prospect of failure or pain, start the body in motion and let the freeing momentum of, mass x velocity – thought, carry you towards that which you may seem to believe is slightly out of reach when in fact your mind is the only thing that keeps you from attaining what has always been within your grasp!!
Perfect thought after last night’s workout.
5 rounds
22 kb swings
22 box jumps
400m run
22 burpees
22 wall balls
Time fail!
NICE- I’m doing that WOD (Whitman) on Friday. Tomorrow night is Witten: 7 rds 15 Power Cleans, 15 KB Swings, 15 Box Jumps. GET SOME 🙂
That WOD was plain dumb. I could barely function last night. Great Stuff!
