The HW honor roll this week is hugely inspiring! (and as promised in the workouts, the past is prologue).

But when I think of …distinguished ability, noble qualities, and a model…
I think of Livewrong! And since it’s his last HW, I’ll be burning it up for him.

If you’ve worked out with him, chatted after class, or read his over 300 comments over the years on the blog…you know he’s defined the CF attitude (almost since it’s beginning). He hasn’t merely taken something from CF, over the years he’s gone above and beyond to give back to CF. He’s always in the right place, doing the right thing, at the right time. He cares seriously about CF. And I’ll miss that dedicated passion to the Corps Fitness concept from a Corps Fitness hero.

(But mostly I’ll miss his colorful post-workout descriptions that always leave me in stitches….for example, yesterday he exclaimed…”Eric, that was just a punch in the d!@k!”).

Nat, I am moving to Flagstaff, AZ to take a new position with Gore.

Dr. MD…I am profoundly humbled by your words and am looking forward to this Hero Week like a kid at Christmas time. Winter Hero Week is the original and represents the best of what CF means to me. It was born of humble grassroots seeds and has grown into something everyone should be proud of. Some of my best and dearest memories of Corps Fitness are from Hero Weeks past. From the very first one when there was just a handful of us Phreaks to the 50-60+ groups of Phreaks that have turned out since, it is a special time of the year and a great time to be at Corp Fitness. If you have not experienced a winter Hero Week then strap-on your big boy or big-girl pants, check your ego at the door, and come out and see what a laser-focused, group conscious can achieve by sweating, suffering, and enduring together for a common cause and common purpose. Remember, of all the weeks in the year, this week is not about the self, this is about self-sacrifice for those who sacrificed it all for us so we get to do what we do!!! Bring it PHREAK!!!

Love the camaraderie & all out suffering of Hero Week…group misery is good for the soul…..makes us appreciate the sacrifice of others for our benefit.

Like JJ says….”leave your ego at the door” and bring tissues— it’s gonna hurt.

Heard the rumor, now I read the truth, say it isnt so 🙁 Agree with everything said here and more. Thanks for your all both inside CF and out, from the old days of listening to Buzzsaw to the new (get your SH@# wired tight) from us old Swizzle sticks any chance and seeing that little guy you had in your cube one more time to help cheer us hanging phools down at the smokehouse.

    To our CF buddy:
May you prosper in your new journey, may your soul be enriched with new experiences of growth and memories.
