May Flowers (and skills, too!)…
Here is the sequence of skills (and who is instructing) offered per each Monday:
5/4 Van – Kettlebell (swings, OH swings….Van will gauge how far he can progress based on who is in attendance and level of proficiency)
5/11 Eddie – Deadlifts
5/18 Eddie – Cleans (Power and hang)
5/25 NO SKILLS – Memorial Day
6/1 Eddie – Basic Squats and progressing to squat cleans and back squats
CFers have 2 options on these Monday nights:
1. Those seasoned in CrossFit WODs and looking for additional WOD time, can come in during this hour and do the prescribed form and max skill and then move onto the Benchmark WOD prescribed (I have each night’s WOD typed up and ready to post on a white board).
2. Those interested in skill sessions will be with instructor noted above and receive instruction and practice on the skill indicated. Then, upon satisfactory practice of the skill(s), they will have a chance to do a mini-WOD putting into practice what they just worked on perfecting.
BOTH groups will do a brief warm up together led by instructor….then they will divide based upon what they are there for.
This is a test run for the day and time to possibly keep on the schedule should attendance warrant it staying.
Sunday June 7th at 3:00 if any CFers are interested in CPR/AED training and certification, we are having class at Corps. Cost is $35 per person, and there are a limited amount of slots available. Reserving spots will be on a first come, first served basis. They need to contact Melissa Hazlett at email@example.com if interested.
