Holiday Tidbits

This recently-published article suggests you’ll eat an additional 8000 calories this holiday season.  Will you prove them right or wrong?

Another claims 30 seconds of exercise can keep you awake and alert as effectively as coffee does.  Save that Starbucks gift card for later! 

This can be a difficult time of year to stay on track with your fitness goals. Here’s a throwback / classic video to provide some helpful advice:

    8,000 calories!? Is that it? The holiday season presumably starts with Thanksgiving and ends with New Years. On just those three days alone one could achieve the 8,000 calorie splurge. What about all the office parties, Christmas baking, egg nog, candy canes, winter IPAs, ginger bread houses, hot toddies, fruit cake, Manhattans, pizzells, apple rum cider, chex mix, naked tequila shots and sprechers bacon?

    Sadly, I think you can cross the Sprecher’s bacon off your list. Sprecher’s damaged in fire. Hopefully all is not lost.
