Hero Week Day 2

Police Officer Robert Lasso was shot and killed August 11, 2011 while responding to a disturbance call. During the call he was shot with a shotgun in the face without warning.

Officer Lasso is described as great father, with an infectious smile.

“He was never afraid to get involved” and “He put his heart out, not his hand out” are other descriptions.

“Protect and serve. Not just words. They truly represent the life of Robert Lasso. His children are going to grow up knowing their daddy was a hero.”

Cfers: If you have any complaints or issues with the Hero Week workouts, you need to seriously, seriously rethink why/what we’re doing this for. It’s not about you!!!!

Do the workout or don’t do the workout. It’s always a choice. And if you decide to participate, the only thing you should be saying is, “Thank you” and “I get to.”

I have participated in every single HeroWeek since CF started it. I can only say what an honor it is to do it. We are alive today because of their sacrifices. That being said…..step up, man up, give it ALL up for them! Thank you to Matt & Chris for doing this for us!

“Earth teach me suffering…as old stones suffer with memory.”

Explore the deeper meaning in that statement and come to understand the truth behind Hero Week.

Stones suffer in silence and become humbled by the pain from the ravages of the Earth Mother and time. And yet they stand against the onslaught as sentinels to the past, and remain true and dedicated to their cause, Native Peoples call them Grandfathers and they are held in high regard…

This is CrossFit baby – not La Fitness! 🙂

    Day 1 and 2 were amazing! I can’t wait for days 3-7!

    “Thanks”!

Heard no complaining at the 5:30AM class; just excitement about the element of surprise and liking not knowing what coming next. Lots of chat about the burn and great workout!
