Friday Updates: Rock the Vote!

1) Sunday Feb 6: 2pm Optimaxx Lecture; 3pm Super Bowl WOD

2) NEW SUNDAY SPECIAL ADDED (see Sunday Special page): Cupid is so sneaky. We almost missed the traditional My Bloody Kettlebell Workout. No way. Sunday February 13th, 3pm! An adorable mix of KB and Bodyweight exercises to satisfy your sweet tooth! Also, anyone interested in the Slow Carb/4hr body recomposition diet should show up at 4PM (we can talk about implementing it…4-week trial challenge…)

3) Head to the POLLS! In the coming days, you’ll see various polls here. As you know, a new CF venue is coming…so give your feedback. The new facility will have lockers/showers. Select from 1 up to 3 times of the day that you would attend a CF Class regularly. Sure our schedules make us jump around from class to class sometimes, but what is your ideal regular time? Vote quickly, the topic will change every day or so! MD-

Can’t be at the Sunday programs but am really intersted in the 4hr body challenge. I’m a couple of chapters into the book and am intrigued and entertained (Tim Ferriss has a humorous style). How can I make up or get a cliff notes version of the session?
    Thanks

MD and Scott, (and anyone else interested in 4HB). I started a trial on Tuesday, doing the whole month of February 4HB Slow Carb. I’d also like to see the cliff notes from the meeting and would gladly share my experience thus far.

That’s a pricey piece of fat! I’d sell mine for much cheaper if you want it…

Sam- read the key parts of 4hb slow carb diet and am in on Monday. Are you planning on using cq or any of the other supplements? Seems like this is going to be similar to the Paleo but without the fruit or honey (for me). I’ve loaded up with lentils and spinach and am ready to go! It’ll be hard not to consume copious amounts of almonds though. One thing I’m not touching is wearing a man purse with a scale to measure food with, WTF?

    Scott,
The only supplement I’m doing right now is a daily multi vit and Barleans Lemon Zest fish oil (using Robb Wolf’s fish oil calculator) which is delicious! I don’t weigh my food, and actually I’m not eating almonds on this trial. I’ve kept it pretty simple: black beans, pinto beans, lentils, spinach, frozen mixed veggies, frozen broccoli, frozen asparagus, grilled chicken breast, egg +2egg whites, chili (ground beef, tomato paste, pinto beans, whole foods mediterranean mixed veggies, zucchini). I’m considering ordering the PAGG stack next month but its pricey and I’m enjoying saving money buying the simple/cheap necessities for slow carb. I’ve added cinnamon to my coffee which is awesome! Also, thinking this summer (since I’ll be back at CF!!!!!) I’ll toy with creatine and CQ. It’s honestly easier for me than paleo which surprised me because I really enjoyed paleo and thought it was pretty simple. I am supposed to have my “cheat day” tomorrow, but I really don’t want to feel like crap haha, so I will basically stick to it for my main meals and then of course probably enjoy some beverages for the super bowl. Otherwise, its been great so far!
