Pulled it off with 60 some people…cooperation, teamwork, nausea. A solid representing for Cole’s faithful spirit!
K9 Blitz & BCS show the crowd some action.
Nice teamwork and effort today, esp knowing how we’re all feeling by Day 6. Loved the Sheriffs’ K9 demo – those dudes and dogs aren’t messing around. I have the utmost respect for what they do!!
I have been giving our doggies some extra love this week – seeing them in a different light in terms of what they do and what they’re willing to do for their pack. Dogs rule!!!!
It’s been a phenomenal week honoring all the doggies and handlers. I was totally beyond impressed with Blitz today. I’m not a “dog person” but this week and certainly today made a mark on my heart and went a long way toward making me realize those bright and courageous critters are truly remarkable. I had tears in my eyes, thinking about Kyle. “We get to…” We are very fortunate indeed. Miss you Kyle…hope we showed you how it’s done in true CF style this week. Wherever you are buddy, this week was for you!
Yeah, just got back from walking the dogs to the creek and swimming with them. Extra special treat from the butcher next. Striving to be the person my dogs think I am.
Exactly my thoughts and actions this week….no amount of dog hair, slobber, etc. is gonna bother me…I love my pooches. I am a MAJOR dog person, so this week has especially tugged at my heart because not only in these cases did we lose a great human hero, but a canine hero as well….double the whammy and double the sorrow! What a fabulous week this has been honoring those we lost! Great job to all today, and all week! One more day folks of doing a workout in the the handlers and K9’s honor, but forever remembering them!
In a complete coincidence, my neighbor (who is involved in various rescues) sent a note to us this week about Military War Dogs in need of adoption. These are USMC IED dogs who are being retired primarily due to a reduction in forces in Afghanistan. If anyone is interested, I will bring the cover letter (that explains more about the dogs) and the application. I can also email it to you, if you like. Lemme know.
*These dogs are checked by a Dept of Defense vet for their adopt-ability.

We’ve been doing the same here at our place.
